Old City- Step 1: The Royal Gate & Maiden Tower Mysteries

Head straight to the Maiden Tower: Begin with this iconic, enigmatic symbol of Baku. We'll circle its base, discussing the many legends of its purpose—from a Zoroastrian temple and a watchtower to a medieval observatory. The mystery sets the tone for the entire tour.
Old city - Step 3: The Palace of the Shirvanshahs
Walk up the ancient street to the palace complex. This 15th-century masterpiece is the apex of Old Baku's architectural glory.

This tour involves a significant amount of walking, mostly on uneven, ancient cobblestone streets. Comfortable, sturdy shoes are essential.
The Baku sun can be intense. We highly recommend bringing a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect yourself.
To ensure a personalized experience, this is a small-group tour. Please book in advance to secure your spot.
While the main squares are accessible, many narrower alleys and historical buildings have steps and are not wheelchair or stroller-friendly.
Please bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated throughout our walk.
