“This trip was AMAZING, I 100% RECOMMEND”
From beginning to the very end Abid’s organisation, energy, local know-how and brilliance was evident. It’s hard to describe how good the trip was in the word count, but I’ll try to summarise. I came to Abid with two specific requests; riding trains in Dhaka, and going on one of the massive ferries. So, with this in mind, the first two activities Abid made happen were riding on the top of the trains and going on one of the ferries (immediate five stars already from me there on out). You’d think this was the end, however with me wanting to see the real side of Bangladesh, Abid also offered a trip to Kuakata sea beach, and let me tell you, this DID NOT disappoint. Considering we only agreed the night before, Abid’s resolve in organising the entire 3 day trip was tremendous. Everything went as though it had been planned for months and the activities were brilliant. Motorbiking along the sand through sunset and sunrise, swimming in the Bay of Bengal, catching a night ferry to see the river ganga at sunrise, bbq’d fish of all sorts and trying so many different Bengali dishes - I genuinely felt like I saw the best Bangladesh can offer, and things no other foreign tourist gets to see. Overall, I cannot fault Abid at all and would recommend him to every traveller wishing to see the real Bangladesh. Also be specific in your requests as he did his utmost to meet mine (and absolutely exceeded them). I have now gained a friend in Abid, great guy, great tour guide, and GREAT at logistics/planning.

I’m so glad you got to experience the real side of Bangladesh — the food, the people, and the places that make it so special. Your enthusiasm and open-mindedness made guiding you an absolute joy. Thank you also for recommending me to other travelers — I really appreciate that. Wishing you all the best in your future travels, and I hope our paths cross again someday. Panam city tour The oldest capital in Bangladesh
Panam Nagar traces its origins to the 13th century. Once a thriving commercial center, it declined in the 17th century following the relocation of the capital from Sonargaon. Sonargao Museum is one of the old capitals of the historic region of Bengal and was an administrative center of eastern Bengal. It was also a riverport. Its hinterland was the center of the muslin trade in Bengal, with a large population of weavers and artisans.
