“Best guide in Dhaka!”
Abid is the kind of guide who can completely change the way you experience a city. He didn’t just show me Dhaka — he took me into the real Dhaka, far beyond the usual tourist attractions. From the chaotic streets of the city to local villages and places I would never have found on my own, every part of the day felt authentic and genuinely interesting. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, flexible and, most importantly, genuinely passionate about his city. “Railway Slom Tour and Ship Breaking Yard”
Abid R. picked me up at my hotel, we introduced ourselves, and then our Dhaka tour began. First, he took me to a covered and open-air food market before heading to my first destination: the slum near the railway. After an impressive walk through the slum, he bought me a drink, and we headed to my second destination: Dhaka's small Shipbreaking Yard. Abid R. rented a boat for the crossing, and we strolled through the yard and behind it, where the workers were at work. We returned to the hotel by boat and tuk-tuk and said our goodbyes. I look back on one of my most beautiful days in Bangladesh, and if I ever return, I will definitely call Abid R. again for another Tour. The photos give you an impression of our Tour (Slum, Ship Breaking Yard, Tuk-Tuk and streetlife)!
