According to the legend, a legendary hero, named Yamato Takeru-no-Mikoto, was seriously injured when he battled against a demon-like big snake. He visited there to cure his injury. Actually, his condition was so serious that he was unconscious and had a high fever.
He soaked his body in the pure water and it made his body cool down and regained consciousness.
The name of Samegai came from the legend. "Samegai" means "awakening well" in English. So interesting story, isn't it?
