This is my favorite Izakaya which means Japanese-style pub. The shop policy is that only women, even solo, entering it can be declined. It serves around ten dishes or more and beer and sake(Japanese rice wine). There is no background music. Members of small group are gently talking with one another while drinking and eating. At the counter, each single customer quietly savors everything including the old- style atmosphere. In my tour, The western part of Tokyo , in Edo Tokyo Tatemonoen, the main destination, there is the original shop building where opened in 1856. However, I think that the current shop sufficiently preserves the old tradition. Would you like to feel the atmosphere of such an Izakaya culture? If so, why don't you join me?
