Different faces...
Sado Island is located off the coast of Niigata Prefecture about 40km away. Its circumference is 280km and encircled by the Sea of Japan.
It offers diverse coastal scenes depending on places, seasons, weather and so on.
These are the several pieces of photos I'd like to share with you for now. Please enjoy!
The blue cave in Kotoura.
Shukunegi inlet covered with snow.
"波の花”、 or wave flower, bubbles created by crashing waves under stormy weather.
Beautifully arched waves in Sawata beach.
Waves pass through a tunnel under the Akagame (red turtle) rock in Suizu.
After snowstorms, "Nori" seaweed grow on rocks and locals head to beaches to harvest it.
It's one of the winter delicacies in Sado.
Sobama sandy beach in Hamochi, facing Mano Bay. You can enjoy beautiful sunset from here.
On one weekend, there were some surfers in Mano bay.

Even on small rocks, gods are enshrined in Akadomari.
