From Jan. 23th to Feb. 7th, big, funny women faces are displayed at the gates of Kushida shrine. They are called ‘Otafuku’ in Japanese, which literally means ‘lots of happiness’. If you pass through these gates and worship at this shrine, it is believed that good fortune will be brought to you. The photo mentions the main gate of Kushida shrine. Other two Otafuku masks with different face expressions are displayed at other gates during that period. Why don’t you visit the shrine to check all Otafuku gates and get good fortune?
