 Qué es Jinja para Japoneses?

Hoy es el día del equinoccio vernal. También es un día para visitar el cementerio antepasados. En el centro de Tokio, Setagaya, hay un increíblemente hermoso Sinto Santuario (Jinja) llamado Shouin-Jinja. houin-Jinja fue creado en la memoria de la figura famosa Yoshida Shouin, que era un educador muy conocido en el periodo Edo.

In the middle of Tokyo, Setagaya-ward, there is a amazingly beautiful Sinto Shrine (Jinja) called Shouin-Jinja.

Shouin-Jinja was created in the memory of famous figure Yoshida Shouin, who was a very renowned educator in Edo period.

Shinto, which literally means "the way of God", has been present since the creation of Japan and Jinja, where Sinto is practiced, is present everywhere in Japan. Especially on the first day of a year, many people visit there to wish themselves a good luck.

Apart from the fact that it's religious place, it also serves as places with greenery. People seek spiritual energy by visiting Jinja by exposing themselves to greenery through which spirit of nature gets into bodies.
