The memorial of the 100th anniversary
The townscape in the photo above is very familiar to the Japanese, especially Tokyoite. Its place is a square called SL Hiroba, where is in front of Shinbashi station and a famous place to meet. SL is an initial letters of steam locomotive. That SL was placed there in 1972, when it was 100 years after the first railway in Japan between Shinbashi and Yokohama opened. On the opposite side across Shinbashi station, there is a reproduced building of the original Shinbashi station in the Shiodome area. It is a museum with the remains excavated from its place. In my tour, A one day tour for the first time visitors to Tokyo, the cource is close to the Shiodome district. Why don't you join me?
