Jigoro Kano(1860-1938) was one of Japanese greatest men. He established the modern Judo and propagated it over the world. At the same time, he was active in education and the International Olympic Committee. The headquarter of Judo called Kodokan is located in the Bunkyo ward in Tokyo.
