The Senbon Torii Gate is famous at Fushimiinari shrine in Kyoto which is one of the most popular tourist sight in Japan. However there are many senbon torii gate not only in Kyoto. Senbon torii means thousands of torii gates that is a long narrow path going up the hills, covered with many small vermilion torii. The torii gate of the shrine originally symbolizes the entrance from the secular into the sacred.

This senbon torii located at Nezu Shrine in Tokyo. The long torii lined pathway leads to the small Otome Inari Shrine.
