We'll take a walk through downtown Ottawa and find the parks that aren't in all the guide books, but maybe should be. Looking for the parks the locals visit? We'll visit them. Want to see where the dogs hang out? You got it. There is local history hiding everywhere you turn here.

Meeting Point
Info Centre, 90 Wellington St
- Meet by the Terry Fox statue outside the Info Centre on Wellington St, across from Parliament Hill.
Supreme Court
Have a look at the building where the top decisions are made and see the gardens outside as we get this tour underway.
Bronson Park
This park sits at the edge of Centretown, overlooking Lebreton Flats, the Canadian War Museum and the Ottawa River.
Tech Wall Dog Park
This dog park is tucked into a ground that used to be a school yard. For many years the space was unused. Now it has been given new purpose. The name? You'll see.
Dundonald Park
A vibrant, busy park that is host to many activities throughout the year.
McNabb Park
McNabb used to be a school, now used as a community hub for many activities. The old school yard is now a wonderful park. It includes a skate park among other attractions.
Canadian Museum of Nature
Nope, not a park. But this walk would not be complete without a visit to this icon of downtown Ottawa. Not all of nature is outdoors.
First National Tree Day Memorial Park
A small park tucked away in one of the neighbourhoods of downtown Ottawa that the locals know about, but don't share. But we're going to find it.
Minto Park
The beautiful park just off Elgin Street, and a great place to sit and relax with a book.
Golden Triangle Park
Hidden in a neighbourhood which happens to be called the Golden Triangle, this park is very close to the canal.
Confederation Park
Perhaps one of the best known parks for visitors, this one is across from Ottawa City Hall and plays host to a lot of events and festivals throughout the year.

On weekdays I am only available after 2pm.
I'm an Ottawa native with a talent for sharing facts and stories about the world around me. I love to explore and show off the best places to visit, and the best ways to see them. As a person with physical challenges, I recognize and respect the difficulty of seeing a place with physical limitations. With this in mind, I am always paying attention to accessibility and how it can be done with any and all abilities. I believe the world belongs to everyone, not just those with so-called ideal bodies.
