The route is punctuated by tastings of the neighbourhood's most loved street foods, from egg pancakes and sticky rice rolls to wonton soup and pan-fried dumplings.

Dajing Ge Pavilion

This three-hour walk takes you straight into the Old Town and the neighbourhoods that grew up around it.

China's spiritual life has long rested on two pillars — Buddhism and Taoism — and you'll step inside a temple devoted to each.

Along the route, we'll pass classic Shikumen houses, where traditional Chinese courtyards blend with Western brickwork — the signature architecture of old Shanghai.

Yu Garden Area

Continue your tour to Yu Garden district, one of the most iconic and historic area. Explore this 400 years old ancient garden with exquisite architecture, elegant rockeries, and tranquil ponds(This stop is an exterior visit, not going inside the garden).

Stroll through the bustling bazaar, where you can find various local snacks and dim-sum. You guide will pick the best of them and let you try it.

Next stop, you will be taken to local tea house to experience a traditional tea ceremony — a pot on the table, a slow afternoon, and nowhere in particular to be.

With continuous progress in processing skills, the six major tea categories gradually took shape, which includes Green Tea, White Tea, Yellow Tea, Oolong Tea, Black Tea, Dark Tea.
