I had a 16 hour layover in Chengdu and was deciding whether to tour it myself or book with a guide (it is my first time using this site). My usual option is self-exploration, but with the limited time and my limited knowledge of the language and area, I chose to go with Jason! I was not disappointed. Jason was waiting for me at the airport with a sign, a nice set of wheels, and his friendly buddy/driver, Kevin. Immediately, I was putting Jason's depth of knowledge to the test. Asking endless questions (in english), from the airport to the panda center. He navigated them smoothly, which I found foreshadowed our day together. I really enjoyed walking the panda center and learning about its history and inhabitants from Jason. He spoke with a passion for it and I could tell he enjoys sharing his knowledge. After a stellar, local lunch, I was dropped at a spot to work remote for a few hours before continuing our tour. I really appreciated this flexibility. Before dropping me back at the airport, Jason took me to a night market, where Kevin joined us for some hotpot. They both spoke on the tradition of the meal, the market, and the community and I was able to learn more about them. It was an enjoyable day and I'm glad I chose not to go it alone.

“Personalized and Amazing Tours”

Veronica is a wonderful tour guide. I booked 3 days with her: Nov. 24th, 25th, and 26th. When I reached out a week prior, I informed her about the duration of my stay in Chengdu and why I was visiting. Veronica asked me questions about my interests and then provided me an entire weeks-long itinerary. This itinerary was thoughtfully crafted with my interests in mind and it included the days she would guide me as well as things I can do on my own when I wasn't with her. This was one of many things that she did which shows she has integrity and is a good person. When I would meet with her she would pick me up at my place of stay and we would always enjoy amazing and new food each day. She remembered my food restrictions and preferences. In between giving me details and explanations at historical sites, I could easily talk to her about anything. She was approachable and kind. It was like we were close friends almost immediately. Veronica ensured that I made the most out of my stay and tour with her as a solo traveler. Since I'm so shy about asking others to take a photo of me, I have long gotten used to not taking photos. Veronica would be the first to suggest that I have my photo taken, even finding cute poses for me to recreate. She would take amazing care with the photos, getting various angles and even timed them with the background events. I absolutely love the photos she took. I can't thank Veronica enough for making my stay in Chengdu amazing. Thank you so much!
