Welcome to Split, welcome to Roman Empire.
Split, the second largest city in Croatia, is everything but a typical city – what to say about the city that started as a retirement home of Roman emperor? Split is 17 centuries old city, because we count the beginning of city of Split from the palace of Roman emperor Diocletian. Looking forward to be your guide on this adventure!

Gregory of Nin, Ulica kralja Tomislava 15
Every city has some point you need to touch for luck - Split has Gregory of Nin's toe. On the first stop I will give introduction to the history of Split and Croatia, and explain the meaning of the statue of Gregory of Nin as well.
From the statue we will continue towards the entrance to the palace - the golden gates.
On this stop I will continue explaining the palace's history. Peristyle is one of the best preserved Roman squares in general. I will explain how the palace was build, and introduce you to some amazing facts about the palace - the living monument.
On this stop you will see where was old Roman's living room, and hear more stories of the palace and its first inhabitant, emperor Diocletian
We will visit the best preserved part of the palace - the basement, or sub-struct of the emperor's flat. You will see original walls from Roman's times, preserved until today. In case you are Game of Thrones fan, this place served as dragon's dungeon.
We will stop at Split's promenade (or Split's living room) where the guests can take some refreshments, or go to a toilet.
We will stop at 3D model of the city of Split, where I will continue explaining secrets and controversies of the city. We will continue along the promenade until the Fruit square.
After the Fruit square, we will continue towards Piazza, or People's square where I will continue explaining about medieval Split.
After seeing medieval Split and hearing some dark stories, we will go back to the palace through the Iron gates.
We will continue by visiting the temple of Jupiter, one of the best preserved Roman temples build by the emperor for his "divine father", god Jupiter.
From Jupiter's temple we will go back to Peristyle where every day (during summer season) there is a little show - actor and actress, emperor Diocletian and his wife exit from their flat and greet everyone on the square. It is a beautiful piece of drama for everyone visiting the palace and traveling through time to meet emperor Diocletian.
Peristyle square (the main square of the palace)

Guide fee, entrance to Diocletian's palace, video and other materials necessary for the tour, one bottle of water per visitor.
Transport fee to the palace (in case the clients are not accommodated in the city center), entrance fee to cathedral and temple of Jupiter and other entrances in case the clients want to visit some museum with a guide.
There is no special preparation for this tour - what is important is to be interested in history and generally curious. The tour approximately lasts for 3 hours, but I recommend one break in the middle of the tour. Since I am flexible, the tour can last longer than 3 hours, depending on the interest. You can ask any questions about Split or Croatia, and I will do my best to satisfy your curiosity ;)
There is no need to bring anything special on the tour, except the bottle of water - since it is pretty hot in Split during summer season.
Looking forward to meet you in Split and answer any of your questions.
