Zadar
We start the tour at 5 Well Square, which the city resisted
with water until recent history.
Then I will take you to the first public park in Croatia,
Jelena Madijevka Park, from where you will have a view
of the monumental Land Gate, a unique specimen on the east
coast of the Adriatic that is recognized by UNESCO and placed
under its protection along the City Walls of the 16th and
17th centuries.
Nearby is the church of St. Simon, one of the patrons of
Zadar, and his body is kept in a gilded chest of 280 kg of
silver and gold.
We will walk through the main city artery - Kalelarga, which
will take us to the City Square where the people of Zadar
have been meeting since the 12th century.
After that we'll stop at the ancient Forum and return more than
2000 years to the oldest part of the city - to the so called
"open-air museum".
At this place there is a large pre-Romanesque monument from
the 9th century - the church of St. Donat, which is made
entirely of the remains of ancient stone from a Roman temple.
Near the Forum is the Zadar Cathedral, the largest on the
Eastern Adriatic coast from the 12th century, dedicated to
St. Anastasia.
We will end the tour with the latest and unique installations
of Zadar - Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun.

Hi, I'm Anita and I'm a tourist guide in Croatia.
I have been working for years as a local tourist guide in Zadar and Sibenik, and as a tourist guide in Europe.
Love for my country makes me do this job that I adore, and my happiness and greatest reward is when my guests return to my Croatia again. That means they are happy and feel nice here and that is my most beautiful reward.
Certainly some of you have not even heard of Croatia. So I decided to invite you to this pearl of Europe and introduce you to this beautiful little country, but rich in cultural and historical monuments, national parks and nature parks.
I am glad to be able to show you my little Paradise on earth.
Join me. I'm sure you'll be fascinated by it.

“Nice overview and interesting tour.”
Good highlights of the city. Thoughtful to give explanation in the shade. Loud and clear. Very friendly. English pronounciation needs some improvement to be easier understandable.
