“A wonderful day-tour to Luxor”
We booked our private tour from Safaga to Luxor about four months in advance, and from the start Mohammed was excellent to deal with—fast, clear, and reassuring in all communication. Two days before the tour, Mohammed asked for passport copies for tourism police permits. As Australians, we were cautious, and after explaining our concerns, Mohammed managed to organise all required documentation without them—clearly more work for him, but handled patiently and professionally. Everything was perfectly in order on the day. Our driver arrived at 5:45 am, 15 minutes early, and drove calmly and confidently all day. We had a short stop for fuel and refreshments before continuing to Luxor, where we met Mohammed at the impressive Karnak Temple. Highlights included a private 30-minute Nile boat ride (no sharing with other groups), followed by a delicious and authentic Egyptian lunch at the Aton Restaurant with fresh bread, hummus, chicken, soup, vegetable tagine, and salad. We visited the Valley of the Kings, several royal tombs, the craftsmen’s village (where Christian and I tried carving the inside of an alabaster bowl using a manual rotating tool while the craftsmen clapped and sang), the magnificent Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. We also learned how papyrus is made and how to spot the real thing. Mohammed was a fantastic guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly well-trained in Egyptology. He answered all our questions and happily took photos at great spots. He also organised electric “TafTaf” carts during two site visits, which was much appreciated. Our driver proudly explained that drivers are regularly drug-tested by police, which made us feel very safe—despite slightly misjudging only one of the many speed bumps. The return drive to Safaga took about 2.5 hours and was smooth and comfortable. Overall, a very well-organised, informative, and enjoyable tour. Highly recommended.

“Highly recommend this tour. ”
During our short one-day visit to Luxor, we wanted to make the most of our time, and I highly recommend the tour company we chose. We were able to visit all the major temples, and our guide, Ali, was truly impressive with his extensive knowledge of the history and significance of each site. He was also very accommodating with our schedule and bought our tickets in advance, ensuring a smooth experience. We opted to skip the lunch because it was getting late and we already had reservations at a restaurant. Our day began with a convenient pickup from our hotel by both our driver and Ali. Communication was seamless, with all details confirmed via WhatsApp prior to our arrival in Luxor. Overall, I cannot recommend this tour enough!
