Marsa Matruh city center
- Pick up in Marsa Matruh and travel to Siwa Oasis We will take an air-conditioned car from Marsa Matrouh to Siwa Oasis. The trip will take approximately 4 hours and then our journey will begin. Model of the car: toyota hiace and after arrival will pick up tradition transportation for local experiment
Fortress of Shali
In the center of Siwa, the ruins of the fortress of Shali of the 13th Century are imposed. Constructed from a material known as a kerchief, "(a mixture of salt rocks from the salt lakes of the region and clay). was built to protect the inhabitants from Bedouin attacks. Interestingly, with just one heavy rain in the year 1936, Shali began to crumble.
Mountain of the Dead in Siwa | Gebel al-Mawta
Mountain of the Dead, in Arabic (Gabal Al-Mawta), located in Siwa Oasis is a Mountain where several tombs were carved on its base, terraces, and at the top. Most of them are tombs for Romans and they differ in terms of shape and size, some of them are just small pits on the ground while other tombs are symmetrically carved with recesses and rooms inside.
Temple of Amon
The Temple of Amon or also known as the Temple of Umm Ubayd constructed during the 30th dynasty, only a wall decorated with bas-reliefs and a gigantic pile of ruins remains. The temple was built by Nectanebo II.
The Temple of Amun is one of the oldest temples in the world, it is located 4 kilometers east of the current city of Siwa during the reign of the Thirtieth Dynasty by "Nectanebo II"
Traditional Siwan houses
Siwa House Museum is located in the heart of Siwa Oasis. It was built in the style of an old Siwan house to tell the history of the city and how its people lived in the past. The museum was built using traditional Siwan construction techniques. Karsheef, a mixture of sun-dried rock salt and clay, was used for construction, and this material is kept at moderate temperatures inside. The roof is made of palm wood. The museum displays handicrafts, traditional clothing, pottery, silverware, and much more.
Cleopatra’s Bath
Cleopatra's Spring, also known as Juba Spring, is a natural hot spring located in Turkey. It is said to be the place where Cleopatra, the last pharaoh of Egypt, Julius Caesar and Mark Antony bathed. The geothermal waters are around 40 degrees Celsius, and the warm water is rich in minerals and is said to have healing properties for various skin diseases and joint pain.
Juba Spring is a natural hot spring believed to have healing properties and is believed to be one of the water sources for the bath. The thermal bath was part of the ancient spa complex of Hierapolis, which was famous for its healing waters and was a popular destination for those seeking health and wellness.
The Magical Salt Lakes of Siwa
There are 4 large salt lakes that have depth 4m and 95% concentration of Salt in it, The large presence of salt helps people float on the surface of the water even though they can't swim and the salt also helps heal many medical conditions, especially skin problems. People float in the lake in groups holding each other's hands individually, fruits are served and also they can read a book while floating peacefully.
Fatnas Island and dinner
This small island is located 10 minutes from Siwa town. You will find dates farm in this island and it has a fresh water spring that you can swim in. It offers a spectacular view to Siwa Lake for sunset. having our dinner and tea
