National Museum of Ethiopia

Step into Ethiopia’s ancient past at the National Museum, where you will meet Lucy (Dinkinesh), the famous fossil that provides a remarkable connection to the origins of humanity. Explore fascinating archaeological discoveries and learn why Ethiopia holds such an important place in human history.

Holy Trinity Cathedral

Visit Holy Trinity Cathedral, one of Addis Ababa’s most important historical landmarks. Walk through the cathedral grounds, see its unique architecture and beautiful stained-glass windows, and learn about its place in Ethiopian history.

Your guide will share stories about Ethiopia’s traditions, heritage, and the events connected to this famous site.

This visit gives you a chance to understand an important part of Ethiopia’s culture beyond what you see in the city streets.

Traditional Ethiopian Coffee Experience

Watch the coffee beans being roasted and prepared in the traditional way, then sit and taste freshly made Ethiopian coffee while learning about the customs and stories behind the ceremony.

This is a chance to experience a simple but meaningful part of everyday Ethiopian life.

Mercato Market

Visit Mercato, one of Africa’s largest open-air markets and one of the busiest commercial areas in Addis Ababa. Locals often say that in Mercato, “everything can be found except nothing,” reflecting the incredible variety of goods and activities in this huge marketplace.

Walk through selected sections of the market, observe local traders, and see products ranging from spices and coffee to traditional items and everyday goods.

You will be shared the story of how Mercato grew into a major trading center and explain its importance in the daily life of Addis Ababa.

The depth of the experience can depend on the available time and your interests.

Mount Entoto

End your Addis Ababa experience with a visit to Mount Entoto, one of the best places to see the city from above.

After exploring the busy streets of the capital, this stop gives you a chance to enjoy fresh mountain air, beautiful views, and a quieter side of Addis Ababa.

As you drive through the eucalyptus forests, you will be shared the story of Entoto’s connection to Emperor Menelik II and the early history of the city.
