Addis Ababa
Day 1- Addis Abeba. Arrive Addis Ababa and take city tour to visit National museum where Lucy is located, Trinity Cathedral, Marcato, the biggest open air market in Africa and more.

Bahirdar
Day 2- Addis Abeba- Bahirdar-
Early breakfast and drive to Bahirdar via Debrelibanos monastery, the Portuguese bridge and photo stop at the Blue Nile river gorge. Lunch in Debre-markos town. More drive then late in the afternoon arrive in Bahirdar. O/n hotel.
Bahirdar
Day 3- Full day in Bahirdar, morning boat ride on lake Tana to visit the monastery of Ura Kidanemihiret and Aziwa Mariam. Back to hotel via the outlet of Nile river. Afternoon, drive to blue Nile falls. Walk for about 1 and half hour to the falls then back to Bahirdar.

Gondar
Day 4- Bairdar-Gondar-
Drive to Gondar and on the way visit Awramba community village established in the beginning 1980 with the aim of to solve poverty and economic problems of Amhara people through helping one another by promoting egalitarianism practice in Ethiopia. There are about 700 heads in this village who are a model for gender equality in the country that women have equal right with men. Meaning no more women discrimination in all circumstances. Heading to Gondar with photo stops to the beautiful scenery of river Georges, local farmlands and plain landscape. After lunch, visit the royal enclosure, bath of king Fasiledes, the church of Trinity and monastery of Kuskuam Mariam.

Simen Mountain NP
Day 5- Gondar- Simen mountain NP- Take breakfast and head to the Simen mountains NP with a stop at the Felasha village where Ethiopian Jewish Communities used to live. Enjoy the endemic Gelada babbons and magnificent land scape of the Simen escarpments.

Axum
Day 6- Simen mountain-Aksum
Breakfast then drive to Aksum via Limalimo mountain ranges and Tekeze river valleys, one of the most scenic route in Ethiopia where can enjoy a breathtaking drive all the way to Axum. O/n hotel

Day 7- Axum
The whole day in Axum to visit the stele park, tomb of king Kaleb and Gebre Meskel, the church of St. Mary of Zion where Ethiopian's believe that the original Ark of the covenant is sheltered, palace of Queen Sheba and many other ancient treasures.

Hawzen
Day 8- Aksum- Hawzen
After breakfast drive to Hawzien with a stop at the ancient moon temple of Yeha and rock hewn churches of Tigray found on the way. O/n hotel/ lodge

Full day in Hawzien with excursion to Gerealtha mountains rock hewn churches: such as Mariam Korkor, Daniel Korkor, Abune Yemata, Mariam Papasiti and more.

Mekele
Day 10- Hawzen-Mekele
Take breakfast and start driving to Mekele, the 2nd biggest city in Ethiopia, next to Addis Ababa where about 700,000 inhabitants are living. On the way visit the rock hewn churches of Abreha-Atsibeha and Wokro Qirkos. O/n hotel
Lalibela
Day 11- Mekele-Lalibela-
Today is a long drive to Lalibela through a magnificent landscape and beautiful scenery of Maychew and Alamata mountain ranges.

Day 12- Lalibela
Full day in Lalibela and visit the 11 rock hewn churches, such as:- Bête Medhanialem/house of savor of the world; Bête Mariam/house of St. Mary; Bête Meskel/house of the cross; Bête Denagil/house of the virgins myrtyers and Bête Golgota-Micheal/house of St. Micheal. Then in the afternoon more visit of the second group of churches like- Bête Gebriel-Ruphael/house of St. Gabriel and Raphael ; Bête Amanuel/house of Emanuel; Bête Georgis/house of St. George; Bête Merkoriwos/house of St. Merqoriew and Bête Aba Libanos/house of father Libanos. Lalibela
Day 13- Full day in Lalibela
In the morning, mule trekking to the church of Asheton Mariam and in the afternoon day trip to Yimrehane Kiristos monastery, built up cave church stretched about 45Ks from Lalibela town.

Day 14- Lalibela- Addis Ababa
After breakfast do your hotel check out then transfer to Airport for the flight to Addis Ababa. Balance of the day shopping and city other activities. After farewell dinner at one of the traditional restaurants, drop you at Bole Int'l airport for your departure home.

In case if your are coming there by that month, I can arrange you all the necessary things for the city tour of Gondar and trekking or day trip to the Simen mountains NP.

Hello dear travelers. This is Beyene. But please call me by my nick name, 'Bayu'.
I was born and raised in Gondar, a historical city in north western part of
Ethiopia known for medieval history and culture, but now working and living in Addis Ababa since the last 16 years.
I joined the hospitality business when I was in my home town as a local guide taking tourists around the city and to the breathtaking Simen mountains national park.Then this coincidence of meeting many tourists from different countries, eventually grew up and motivated me for further education which I finally came to Addis Ababa to attend tourism college. Here I studied and got diploma in tour guiding techniques and travel operation. With this the Federal Government of Ethiopian Tourism Commission has certified me as a national tour guide to escort travelers all over the country. In addition, the Amhara reginal state tourism office has also licensed me as a local guide. This time, I am a member of Ethiopian professional tourist guides Association based in Addis Ababa.
For me travelling is just more than a business and is simply a source of excitement by meeting new people and make them happy through social and intercultural exchanges.
Ethiopia's long history, divers culture, ancient tradition and beliefs, stunning geography, archeology, unique nature and the society's way of life are the main factors that attracts tourists all year round. This condition always makes me to go off the beaten-truck and discover places which are beyond the routine destinations.
In line of this, I'm became very much keen on travelling and familiar with almost all destinations in the country, which is from the historic route in the north to the cultural destination to Omo valley tribes in the south; from the adventurous Danakil depression and Eta'ale to trekking in the Simen and Bale mountains National parks; from coffee tours in the Ethiopian rift valley system to the bird watching activities across the country.
Above all, Addis Ababa is my favorite city where I got a better knowledge about Ethiopian tourism in general. lt is a vibrant city where diversified ethnic groups all over the nation are living together in peace and harmony. In addition to being the capital of Ethiopia and Africa the whole, it also served as a commerical and political hub of the country hosing local and international organizations. Such as:- AU/African Union, EU/European Union, ECA/Economic Commissioned for Africa including embassies and consulates of different countries in the world.
Because of that Addis Abeba became one of the best tourist stops in the country where a short and long term travelers are coming for their holidays.
The city encompasses many things to be seen either in a half or full day city tours including day trips to a nearby places.To mention but few are:- the national Museum where the 3.2 million years old Lucy is located, mount Entoto where the old grass thatched roof palace of king Menellik ll is still standing, Trinity Cathedral from which the remains of emperor Hailesilassie and his families are rested, Markato the busiest and largest open air market in Africa, St. George church erected up to recall the victory of Adewa over Italy in 1886. Plus historical monuments and squares; coffee houses and traditional restaurants; amusement parks and night life clubs are the few spots on which travelers shall have a life time experience.
