Historical Places from Buda Castle
This is a wonderful walking tour that will allow you to discover the old area of Buda especially Buda Castle. It is one of the most visited areas in the city due to its rich, historical places of interest starting from the emblematic Matthias Church, having an amazing panoramic view to the river Danube from the Fishermen Bastion and other interesting places. The castle is a part of the Budapest World Heritage Site, so declared in 1987.

The Church of Our Lady of Buda Castle (Matthias Church) has a prominent role in the past and present. We may visit it, and I tell you briefly its history and show the most interesting places there.
the Fisherman’s Bastion
The Fisherman’s Bastion is the panoramic viewing terrace with fairy tale towers, offering wonderful view to Margit island and the yellow Margit bridge, as well to the iconic building of the House of Parliament.
Dísz Square, the Monument of the Hungarian Soldier
It is a big, central square with nice houses, palaces. These days a big reconstruction of the buildings is continued. On the left side is the former building of the Red Cross Society and then it housed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and next to it is the Headquarters of Hungarian Defense Forces.

This is the official residence of the Hungarian president and the seat of the Office of the President.
Funicular, The statue of turul
Funicular is a funicular railway in the city of Budapest. It links the Adam Clark Square and the Széchenyi Chain Bridge at river level to Buda Castle above.
I tell you the legend of the mystic bird turul. There is a terrace for taking breathtaking photos of Pest side.

The buildings of Royal Guard & Riding Hall were reconstructed in the frames of the National Hauszmann Program. There is a nice cafe, if you like we may visit it.

The Great Synagogue Tour of Budapest
We are going to visit the Jewish Quarter and the Dohány Street Synagogue and its interior. We will see the Raoul Wallenberg Park- Holocaust Memorial Park with the Tree of Life and the Temple of Heroes (outside visit), the Rumbach Synagogue (outside visit), the Carl Lutz Memorial. In the Orthodox Jewish Quarter we will see the Kazinczy Street Synagogue (inside visit) and finally have a typical Jewish cake and coffee in a Jewish confectionary.
