A fully personalised experience from the start! Our warm, friendly guides feel like old friends eager to share Iceland with you. This private meet up is totally adaptable—whether you're up for exploring or prefer a relaxed chat over a coffee. We'll draw you a custom map with your hotel at the centre, marking spots we discuss along the way. A perfect keepsake to help you enjoy the rest of your trip!
This itinerary can be customized to meet your needs and preferences. Send me a message with your requests!
Meeting Point
Meet at your Hotel, or a near by coffee shop if you prefer. This sample tour uses The Edition Hotel as a starting point.
- We meet up and look at your unique map I have drawn for you - if your friend is visiting your hometown you draw them a map! So I draw you a map with your hotel in the middle. On it are things I think are useful - local pick up points for tours, pharmacies, taxi ranks etc.
Stop at Local food hall
From the starting location, we will go on a short walk to introduce you to your neighbourhood. Our first stop is my favourite food hall, perfect for when you return exhausted from a day trip and want to grab a quick bite. I'll show you my favourite stands and offer advice on the menus there, if you have specific dietary requirements.
City centre
Next stop is the old city centre, on the way showing you your nearest pharmacy, English language bookshop, and convenience store. We talk about the history of the country and discuss your plans here, giving advice on things to do if the weather turns bad etc
Laugavegur / hallsgrimskirkja
From the closest shops we walk up to the main shopping centre of the city, looking specifically at the high-quality souvenir shops and Icelandic clothing stores, and towards the big church Hallsgrimskirkja. It can be seen from everywhere in the city, so as long as you can find your way to your hotel from there you'll never get lost.
Best Bars and Restaurants
On our loop back towards your hotel we stop at some of the best restaurants if you want to treat yourselves, and the best cocktail bars afterwards. Depending on your preference I'll take you to the fun tourist bars or show you where the locals go on a night out!
Back to your Hotel
On the way back to the hotel I often teach you the basics of Icelandic - just how to say "thank you," for example. During the whole tour I'll have been mentally taking notes on your interests, and then I will either add them directly onto your map if it's something nearby like the best Indian restaurant, or write on the back of it if it's something out of town, for instance the best spas in the areas you are planning to visit.
This leaves you with a one-of-a-kind personalized map to help you make the most out of your time in Iceland.

This isn’t a deep-dive history tour - though we’re always happy to share stories along the way! The focus is on helping you get the most out of your time in Iceland, with honest, experience-based tips on tours, restaurants, spas, and more. We go out in almost all weather, so dress for Iceland’s mood swings. And since it’s a private tour, we’ll adapt to what you need—be it a walk, a chat, or a mix of both.
With over 12 years of guiding experience (the last 6 right here in magical Iceland), I bring a deep love for this country’s wild landscapes, rich history, and unforgettable adventures. Whether you want to explore Reykjavik's quiet corners, chase waterfalls off the beaten path, or follow your curiosity deep into the Highlands (when the season allows!), I’m here to create a tour that’s uniquely yours.
I’ve guided everything from WWII history walks to whale and puffin tours, and I’ve travelled every side road I could find - collecting stories, fun facts, and local gems to share along the way. Whatever your interests, I’ll help bring Iceland alive in a way that’s personal, thoughtful, and always a little fun (I am known for my excellent puns, after all!).
In my downtime, you’ll find me hiking, exploring in my 4x4, visiting museums (I’m a bit of a history buff), or just soaking in life here in Reykjavik, my home for the past six years.
I’m excited to meet you, learn what you love, and build an unforgettable Icelandic adventure together.
Let’s go exploring!

“World War 2 On A Platter”
We scheduled a combined World War 2 and Food Tour with Luck B. Lucky us! This was a great tour. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the British Invasion and occupation of Iceland during World War 2 and the American “invitation” to take over from the British. Lucky knows her history and our tour was jam packed with interesting stories and facts that captivated us and held our interest for the entirety of the tour. Although WW2 is her special area of interest we also asked her to put together a food tour to combine with our history tour. One member of our group has several food allergies that Lucky was able to accommodate. In fact she even provided a vegan cake for our friend to eat while we sampled some excellent Icelandic pastries. Lucky is engaging and fun and the information provided good insight into some little known events during WW2 that continue to impact Icelandic culture today. Lucky comes complete with British uniform and we especially enjoyed walking in the steps of the invasion force. We highly recommend Lucky and this tour if you are Looking for something a bit out of the ordinary.

Thank you so much! I had the loveliest day with you all, it was a real treat to spend time with you, and wonderful to hear your war stories in return to mine. I hope the rest of your time here is wonderful, enjoy your cruise and say hello to the whales for me in Ísafjörður :) All the best Lucky
