Meeting Point

K. R. Market metro station

- Your guide will be waiting just outside the metro station and will contact you by phone before the tour begins.

Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace

Step into the grandeur of Indo‑Islamic architecture at Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace. Built largely of teak, the palace features intricately carved pillars, arches, and balconies. As you wander through its halls, you’ll learn about the life and legacy of Tipu Sultan, the “Tiger of Mysore,” whose resistance against British colonial expansion made him one of India’s most celebrated rulers. The palace also houses artifacts and exhibits that bring his era to life.

Kote Venkateshwara Temple

Discover one of Bangalore’s oldest and most revered temples, the Kote Venkateshwara Temple, located adjacent to the fort. Known for its striking Dravidian‑style gopuram (tower) and detailed stone carvings, the temple is a living center of devotion where rituals and prayers are still performed daily. Guests will experience the spiritual atmosphere and gain insight into the temple’s role in Bangalore’s cultural fabric.

Bangalore Fort

Explore the remnants of the 16th‑century Bangalore Fort, originally built by Kempegowda I, the founder of the city. Later expanded by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan, the fort once stood as a formidable military stronghold. Today, only parts of the fort survive, including the imposing Mysore Gate, but its walls still echo with stories of battles, rulers, and the Anglo‑Mysore wars. Standing here, you’ll trace Bangalore’s transformation from a mud fort to a stone fortress and eventually into a modern metropolis.

Flower Market (KR Market)

Immerse yourself in the vibrant chaos of KR Market, one of Asia’s largest flower markets. The explosion of colors, fragrances, and bustling trade creates a sensory experience unlike any other. Guests will witness vendors weaving garlands, traders negotiating prices, and locals buying flowers for temples and celebrations. Beyond flowers, the market also offers glimpses of Bangalore’s everyday life, from fresh produce to traditional crafts, making it the perfect finale to the walk.
