You'll also have the opportunity to take an optional boat ride for an up-close view of the magnificent cliffs and sea caves along the Maltese coast.
Xutu Tower in Wied iz-Zurrieq
Next on our itinerary is a short stop at the 16th-century Xutu Watch Tower, one of Malta’s many historic coastal towers built by the Order of the Knights of St John. Located in Wied iż-Żurrieq, this well-preserved tower offers breathtaking panoramic views of the open Mediterranean Sea, with the mysterious island of Filfla visible on the horizon.
Hagar Qim and Mnajdra Archeological Park
Our next stop takes us to the awe-inspiring Megalithic Sites of Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Temples. Dating back over 5,500 years, these ancient structures are true architectural marvels, unique to the Maltese Islands. Recognised as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, they offer a captivating glimpse into Malta’s mysterious and fascinating prehistoric past.
Marsaxlokk Fishing Village
We then head to the charming fishing village of Marsaxlokk, known for its traditional character and tranquil waterfront. This picturesque spot is perfect for a relaxing stroll, with cozy cafés lining the promenade and stunning views of the harbour dotted with brightly painted fishing boats known as luzzus.
If the tour falls on a Sunday, you'll also have the chance to experience the lively open-air market, featuring fresh fish, local produce, clothing, and a variety of unique souvenirs.
