We will start the tour by heading to Xrobb l-Ghagin in the locality of Marsaxlokk in the southeast of Malta. Here travellers can admire the panoramic scenic views of the Mediterranean blue sea and the jutting limestone cliffs.
Our next stop is the picturesque village of Marsaxlokk. This is a small village renowned for its fishing community. It offers peaceful walks and nice cafes along the water strip. If the tour is on a Sunday, then we will be enjoying its typical markets with food and fish stalls, clothing wares and various other nick snacks. At Marsaxlokk, travellers can take photos of the artisan stalls, enjoy the peaceful harbour with the brightly coloured fishing boats called the luzzus and stroll around the waterfront eating pastizzi.
After Marsaxlokk, we will be visiting Żurrieq, one of the oldest towns on the island. Here we will visit the Xarolla Windmill which dates back to 1724 and is the only functioning windmill on the Maltese Islands. There are a number of well-preserved catacombs dating back to the Roman Era which can be seen from the outside.
Żurrieq is also famous for the beach in Wied iż-Żurrieq and the Blue Grotto which will be our next stop. If you love the sea then you will surely fall in love with the cool blue waters of Zurrieq. Here you will have the option to take a boat ride and have a closer look at the beauty of the Maltese coast.
A brief visit to the 16th-century coastal Xutu watch tower is next on the tour`s agenda. Malta has a number of these towers which are a legacy of the Order of the Knights of St John. This tower is found in Wied iz-Zurrieq and panoramic views of the open Mediterranean Sea can be viewed with a glimpse of the island of Filfla int he background.
At the next stop, travellers will get the opportunity to visit the Megalithic Sites of Hagar Qim and Mnajdra Temples. On the island of Malta, these 5,500-year-old temples are unique architectural masterpieces. These monuments are UNESCO World Heritage and they open a window into Malta`s mysterious fascinating past
After the visit to the Archaeological Park, we head towards the drop-off point which would be the travellers` rental accommodation, hotel, cruiseship or airport.
