We begin our walking exploration through the colorful and maze-like souks of Marrakech.

Discover famous bazaars and traditional shopping areas filled with carpets, lanterns, leather goods, babouches, jewelry, textiles, ceramics, spices, herbal products and Moroccan decoration.

I will explain how the souks are organized, how to recognize different types of craftsmanship and how the traditional art of bargaining works.

Foundouks & Historic Caravanserais

Step away from the main shopping streets to discover some of Marrakech's traditional foundouks, also known as caravanserais.

Historically, these buildings welcomed merchants and travelers arriving in Marrakech with their goods and animals. Today, some continue to house craftsmen, workshops and small businesses.

They offer a fascinating glimpse into Marrakech's commercial history and traditional Medina architecture.

One of the highlights of this experience is discovering the working side of the Medina.

Important Information

Although private transportation is included, much of the Marrakech Medina and its traditional souks are pedestrian areas and cannot be accessed by vehicles. The driver will therefore take us to the most convenient accessible point, and we will explore the souks, foundouks and artisan quarters on foot.

Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.

The exact itinerary may vary depending on your interests, opening times, workshop activity and accessibility on the day of the tour.

My goal is not simply to take you shopping, but to help you discover the people, traditions and craftsmanship behind the souks of Marrakech while enjoying a comfortable, private and personalized experience.
