Tip for guide and porters
When preparing for your trip to Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Muktinath, make sure to plan for a variety of weather situations. Kathmandu's temperate climate necessitates light clothes during the day and warmer attire for chilly evenings. Expect pleasant temperatures in Pokhara, but be prepared for the occasional shower, so bring waterproof gear or an umbrella. Muktinath, being at high altitude, need thick attire even in the summer due to chilly mornings and evenings. To stay comfortable, pack thermal layers, a windproof jacket, a cap, and gloves.
Altitude sickness is a risk while visiting high-altitude sites such as Muktinath. To avoid it, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and avoid excessive exercise. Your guide will check your health and may prescribe medications such as Diamox to ease symptoms. Take it easy on the ascent and rest if you feel dizzy or short of breath.
During your Upper Mustang trip, safety is crucial. Stay on defined trails and always follow your guide's directions. The terrain might be rough, so wear sturdy hiking boots for stability. Bring essentials such as a first-aid kit, sunscreen, and a flashlight. Respect local norms by not disturbing wildlife or littering. By adopting these precautions, you may fully appreciate the cultural diversity and natural beauty of this fascinating region while also assuring a safe and memorable trip.

I'm Devaraj, your friendly guide & let me tell you a little bit about myself and what you can expect from our time together. I was born in Baseri, Dhading District, a hilly region in central Nepal that is also known for the Ganesh Himal and the Manaslu Trek. Since 2002, I've been a trekking guide. My adventure towards guiding began as a personal quest to uncover Nepal's hidden treasures and natural beauties. Over time, my passion for the great outdoors, desire to encourage others to embrace the spirit of adventure, and commitment to forging a deeper connection between people and the environment grew into a vocation.
So, if you're up for a voyage of exploration, challenge, and growth, come along with me as we explore the beautiful landscapes and civilizations that await us. Let's make lasting memories one journey at a time.
