DAY 1 : Queenstown, Glenorchy and Paradise
The edge of a lake, surrounded by mountains, is known as the "Adventure Capital of the World". Bordered by the Southern Alps and served against the sparkling Lake Wakatipu, it's the perfect place to begin every adventure. From Queenstown, you are within striking distance of the most dramatic and varied landscapes you'll find just about anywhere on the planet. Travelling through glacial valleys, around towering mountains, stopping at historic towns, and seeing spectacular scenery along the way, your local guide personally takes you on a full-day journey through Queenstown, Glenorchy, and Paradise. DAY 2 : Day trip and cruise at Milford Sounds
On New Zealand's South Island, Fiordland is home to the spectacular Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound. Milford Sound is one of the top attractions of New Zealand's Fiordland National Park. Its extraordinary beauty and remoteness captivate visitors worldwide, and Rudyard Kipling dubbed this place the "eighth wonder of the world". Fiordland National Park boasts the towering Mitre Peak, plus rainforests and waterfalls such as Stirling and Bowen falls. The inlet is also home to fur seal colonies, penguins and dolphins. Boat cruises are a popular way to explore, and we can also offer private helicopter experiences (extra charges) that provide incomparable views away from the crowds.
DAY 3 : Day trip to Lake Wanaka
Located in the spectacular Alps of the South Island, New Zealand, visitors worldwide are drawn to the Wanaka region by its outstanding beauty. The stunning mountain and lakeside setting and proximity to Mt Aspiring National Park, a Unesco World Heritage Area, make it the ultimate outdoor activity base. Catch a Chinook salmon from our spring-fed fishing lakes and let the team prepare it for you for your lunch. At 45 kilometres long and covering 193 square kilometres, Lake Wanaka is perfect for jet boaters to see some of the more remote hidden scenery. Enjoy this jet boating experience through Lord of the Rings country. With four distinct seasons, Wanaka is a year-round destination. Summers are hot and dry - perfect for water sports, hiking and biking. However, it’s not just the outdoor enthusiasts who have plenty to do; stroll the streets and be inspired by galleries stylish shops and be spoilt for choice with a great selection of cool cafes.
DAY 4 : Queenstown, Arrowtown and Wine Valleys
Arrowtown is a historic living settlement with many stories to tell. Wander through the historic cobblestoned streets of Arrowtown, a charming gold rush township with a vivid history. We'll explore the old Chinese settlement and spend time browsing local boutiques and shops. Next, enjoy a gourmet lunch at one of the local wineries in the Gibbston Valley. Ideally situated among lakes, gorges and mountains, the region is famed for its Pinot Noir and spectacular vineyards. Finally, we visit the world's home of Bungy, proudly sitting at the gateway to the Gibbston wine region. We have the option to see some top wineries and cellar doors to sample their finest offerings before returning to Queenstown.
