Kozo Y.
Hello! I'm Kozo. I'm currently living in Chiba, which is one of the biggest cities in Japan and located in the suburbs of Tokyo. So, I can guide you to the sightseeing spots in Tokyo and the suburbs, which include Asakusa, Nikko, Kamakura, Hakone, Mt. Fuji, and more. In those places, you can experience traditional Japanese culture and beautiful sceneries. I'm originally from Kobe, one of the major cities in the western part of Japan. So, if my schedule permits, I may also guide you to the attractive spots in Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe. I took a Master's degree in chemical engineering at the University of Tokyo and an MBA degree at the University of Massachusetts. I am a professional engineer in industrial engineering, an industrial safety consultant, a registered management consultant, and a licensed guide-interpreter. I have been working for a Japanese chemical company for many years. So, if you are interested not only in Japanese culture but also in technologies and businesses in Japan, I may be a good company. :) As a part of my job as an engineer, I often travel outside Japan. The countries that I visited last year are Singapore, China, the United States, Mexico, Germany, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. Among them, Singapore is my frequent destination. Also, in the past, I visited Spain, Italy, England, France, Hungary, India, Canada, Korea, Taiwan, etc. So, if you are from one of those countries, you may ask me how I felt when I visited your motherland. :) Okay, thank you for reading my self-introduction to the end. I hope I have a chance with you!

Hello everyone, it's Tad! I was born in Osaka, raised up in Kobe, and came back to Osaka for my university and work. I studied clinical psychology in my university. I specialize in children who have developmental disorder such as Down's syndrome, autism, ADHD and I care for the left-behind children whose parents can’t look after them due to their work or private reasons. I used to help them with their homework as a student volunteer. When I was a university student, I went abroad to Australia for the first time in my life, which made me want to know outside world more. I went to see the outside world, which made me get to know the amazing aspects of my own country. I truly see the beauty of Japan and kindness of people. So that after the graduation of my university, I decided to move to Australia with working holiday visa for two years. In Australia, I bought a car and traveled whole around Australia doing labor work. During my time in Australia, I was surprised by the beauty of nature and how wide the world is, and I was helped and well treated by locals. Also I realized that Japan has a very unique and beautiful culture. That experience made me want to share Japanese culture and help you experience Japanese hospitality. I’d like to do my best to make your precious memories in Japan just like how local people in Australia treated me as a part of their family. After returning from Australia, I spent 3 months backpacking around 17 countries of Europe. To tell international guests about Japanese culture, history and hospitality, I became a rickshaw runner in Kyoto Arashiyama. That’s why I became an officially licensed English guide of Kyoto city and decided to live my life as a professional English guide. As I’ve lived in Kobe, Osaka and Kyoto, I’m good at guiding these cities and customizing private tours for FIT (foreign independent travel) guests. Especially I hold a cultural food walk tour which complies with any special dietary restrictions in Osaka’s night out spots. 【Career Summary】 Bilingual professional tourist guide of officially certificated by Kyoto city. I was born and raised in Kamakura. I have spent most of my life in Japan except 2 years in the U.S. I am a certified national tour guide living in Kamakura. There are many temples and shrines in Kamakura. Asakusa has a world-famous Senso-ji temple with Thunder Gate. They are not only the holly places where people come to worship but the historic sites where visitors can touch and feel the Japanese cultures and traditions. I am very happy to share my knowledge with the foreign visitors who want to know about Japan. Visiting the old historic places is the gateway to understand Japan. Asakusa is in the downtown Tokyo. Kamakura is one hour from Tokyo station by JR train. So why not come and join my tour. I am waiting for your reservation.

I can take memorable picture of you by using my own authentic camera and lens. Photo shoot experience is included in guide fee. I have a great love for Kyoto City, from its major tourist attractions to some of its lesser known, tranquil and peaceful sites. I would be glad to conduct the tour according to your interests and share with you my knowledge of the city's rich history as well as its cultural and seasonal events. Since both my high school and university days were located in Kyoto, I know not only all the city’s shrines and temples but also great local restaurants that serve traditional Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price. As an added bonus, I am an experienced, award winning photographer and I would be happy to take photos of you during the tour with my DSLR camera and then email them to you after the tour. Additionally, I love motorcycle touring as my hobby and I enjoy taking pictures of Kyoto’s beautiful landscape. Therefore, talking about and showing off Kyoto’s scenery with my guests is one of my pleasures as well as explaining the traditional Kyoto culture. My native city of Otsu is famous for Lake Biwa which is located just 10 minutes train ride from Kyoto station. It is not only an ideal location for the easy access to the ancient capital city but also for having an amazing visitor’s viewing location. Therefore, whether you are wishing to explore Kyoto’s traditional heritage, sample the fantastic food that Kyoto offers or take a trip off the beaten path, I am the guide for you!
