Greeting from Izu ,shizuoka prefecture, a city just 1.5 hours from Tokyo. I am Hiroko Inamura, a national licensed tour guide. I was born in Numazu and live in Nirayama, located at north part of Izu Peninsula, surrounded by beautiful seas and mountains, and at the top of it all, Mt.Fuji: a truly lovely and amazing Mountain. I am lucky to see Mt.Fuji from my room everyday ! Since I studied and lived in Perth, Australia and Barcelona, Spain, and traveled over 35 countries, I am fluent in English and do speak Spanish that is very useful fie me to communicate with guests from abroad. I love travelling and look for something different and special to introduce for my guests that they haven't experienced before. Izu is the place if you want something more! And yet we Japanese seem to have kept it to ourselves: you see only few foreign visitors here! Visiting the top and center of Izu areas, you constantly meet Japanese traditional and rural world , visit to a wasabi water-field, it's great fun!- and you can experience "wasabi picking " or "wasabi pickle making " during the season, you can do "Japanese tea picking" , ,wearing the special traditional tea picking Kimono! There are many more attractive sits such as Banjo Fall, Joren fall in Amagi and lots more to make your day memorable. This area is great during the seasons of autumn leaves and cherry blossom. And what you can't miss our on is a visit to the oldest hot-springs resort in Izu: the really beautiful Shuzenji. Walking around the town , , ,exploring historical and traditional sits and the grate Bamboo Grove Path remind you of "the good old days". This is the town described as "the little Kyoto "and designated as one of the best visiting place in Japan by the Michelin guide book. I have just mentioned a few of many other attractive places in this area . I am very happy to introduce you what you can see,do and eat here in Izu and its surrounding areas and I promise you to have wonderful memories !

Hi. I'm Lee! I was born and raised in Seoul, and lived in five different countries, Canada, US, Australia, Russia and Germany. I also traveled over 40 countries mostly alone. I studied Business in Seoul with a year exchange program in US, and completed MBA in Sydney. After MBA I wanted to pursue a career change as a professor with my field experience. I was a Market researcher, Research analyst and Marketer in big companies. Highly paying and stable job. It was what many called a good life. But I always liked to be in the nature better than the office. I hiked Kilimanjaro summit alone, Annapurna Base Camp alone, Olympus alone, Everest Base Camp, Fuji, Alps alone and many other mountains in the world. (Alone means literally alone or with a guide. In some countries you must hire a guide). Also I've led a hiking club over 4 years and fly overseas more than 5 times per year and hike. So I decided to have my own travel agency and operate hiking and city tours. Most of my tours are of food and hiking. Now I can hike even more often, have good food with travelers and practice calligraphy everyday which I love too. 70% of Korea is mountainous and amazingly beautiful. And the food is so yummy! I worked and lived abroad more than 15 years mainly in the United States, Australia, Abu Dhabi, China and Malaysia. I also visited many places, some of them were on business purpose, and the others were as private travels. Visiting new places always gave me new discoveries and deep impressions, and I really like these feelings. I would like the visitors to Japan to feel such impressions, and I would like to assist them – this is the primary motivation for me to be a tour guide. One of my hobbies is trekking. One of the travels that made an impression on me was a mountain trekking at Nepal. I trekked 4 days through the hills over 3000m in Himalaya with mountain guide. Another nice experience was the trekking of Jungle in Sarawak island in Malaysia. The guides explained the natures such as plants, flowers, butterfly and insects of those areas in addition to the trails in both cases, and I really recognized the importance of the guiding. If the guides were not suitable, my memories on the travels might not be so nice. Japan is really beautiful country. It has seasonal beauty according to the four clear cut seasons.
