Return via the mountain passes with beautiful scenery.
At your hotel
We will drive through to a cheetah rehabilitation and rescue centre. We will see the cheetahs and you can encounter (touch) a cheetah. The cheetahs are rehabilitated back into the wild and if this is not possible they are used for educational purposes. We get to know a dog breed (the Anatolian Shepherd) that is bred and used to protect the cheetahs in the wild. At this centre we will also see caracol, black-backed jackal, foxes, meerkat, tortoises.
This is a beautiful setting where the broad walk is not over crowded and you get to see penguins up close in nature. You are also likely to see a Dassie (Rock Hyrax) and sea birds.
We continue along the coast line to Hermanus where we have lunch. After lunch we can take a walk along the cliffs and look for whales in the bay. A bit of shopping if you so wish.
The drive back will rake us over the pass, along the top of the mountain range with a stop at a local farm stall for coffee. Then down a spectacular pass back into Cape Town.

Elizabeth was absolutely amazing. she is socwarm and friendly. We booked her tour to Hermanas. It was the most enjoyable day! She picked us up promptly at our hotel we drove along the scenic coast. it was so beautiful. Elizabeth pointed out everything along the way-sites, birds, flowers, monuments…. she told history of the area. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about her country. We spend the day driving and stopping along the way to see a cool little things, did some whalewatching from the shore, did a little bit of shopping had lunch at a great little restaurant overlooking the water, saw the Penguins. We were in no hurry and Elizabeth was very flexible, didn’t rush us or hurry us, let us take our time, and we actually got back to our hotel like two hours late. And it didn’t cost anything more. We enjoyed her so much that we hired her for another day and had her take us around Cape Town, a tour where we pretty much custom picked what we wanted to do. There’s a great little sites in the city and she took us to a restaurant where we had some amazing authentic South African food. Elizabeth grew up in the area so she knows everything about everything. She even gave us advice about where to eat that was close to our restaurant, how much to pay for things, what things to buy that were worth it, prices that were not worth it etc. she even told us that we could text her at any time for any advice on anything that we were doing on our own . We can’t recommend her highly enough!!! she gives it her all! We more than got our moneys worth, and if we ever go back to South Africa again we will definitely take advantage of her services.
Thank you Warren. You were both such a pleasure you made my job even easier.
