We leave the city and travel south passing interesting places, the Cape Town University top campus, The State Presidents residence all along under the back-bone of the Table Mountain range. We pass exclusive suburbs and wine areas. Our first stop is above Muizenberg Beach. Come and find out what the Shark Spotters do and what Guinness World Record is held from here.
We continue along the lovely Boyes Drive, through the fishing and arty community of Kalk Bay. You could spend a whole day in Kalk Bay. All along the coast to the naval suburb of Simons Town. Here you meet a famous dog and hear his fascinating story. You see all the naval icons and the beautiful old architecture of the buildings and churches. We visit the cutest penguins in their black and white suits. Then we continue along the coat with a quick stop at Smidtswinkel.
Depending on the weather the the tides what we do first or last in the Cape Point Nature reserve. We have 3 hours and it is your choice of what you want to do. We will climb to the top of the Light house to see the views from up there. At the half way point is a very interesting gift shop with good history of all the ship wrecks. We will go to the Cape of Good Hope point which is where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. Then we can either take a walk on the wild side to see amazing sea-pool life under the water (you do not have to swim). This is a great opportunity to stretch the legs and have a bit of fresh air. Or we can take one of the side drives to the sea and look for more animals. The animals likely to see int eh park are: baboons, ostriches, dassie (Rock Hyrax), tortoises, eland, lizards, zebra and other antelope. The flora in the park is the heart of the Fynbos Kingdom. You will see restios, protea, paper flowers, pin cushions and a host of other flora. What will be flowering depends on the time of the year. We need to leave by 12:30.
We have a choice of 3 venues depending on diets. We will during the morning decide which would be the most suitable to all concerned. All are within 30 mins of the entrance of the park. Then we continue to try to hug the coast as much as possible.
We stop for the best desert in the place. It is your choice. As we leave Noordhoek we will see Llama before we stop at a lookout point to look over the very long Noordhoek beach which is rather beautiful. Then w e proceed onto the most scenic drive int he whole of the Western Cape with very sheer cliffs and drops on either side. We look at the measures taken to ensure our safety along the drive. We stop at the top again for a chance to take photos of both sides of Chapmans Peak drive. We look out over towards Hout Bay and the Sentinel guarding the entrance to Hout Bay.
Weather dependent and time dependent if the boats are still running we take a boat ride out to Seal Island. It is about 10 mins each way. Here we hover between two islands filled with seals. You get a really close up view of the seals even diving under the boat.
We continue along the coast on the other side of the back bone of the Table Mountain range. Along and under the 12 Apostles back towards the City Centre and your hotel. We might be lucky enough to catch a glorious sunset on the way.

I love what I do. I love my part of the country and live in one of the most beautiful countries and cities. I can say this after travelling too. I am not a fan of wasting your time (or mine) standing in long queues. We have about 4 places where you may need to do so. Otherwise I take you to the little known but beautiful spots to enjoy. Let me know what your favourite things are to do, and I can design a tour around this (eg art, museums, nature, animals, wine). I will design anything from one day trips to 5 day trips. I also know a fair amount about the Xhosa population and can show you a lot in this regard. I am fully vaccinated and have received my booster.
“Walking tour to V & A Waterfront”
We booked the tour to V & A Waterfront with Elizabeth. She was absolutely amazing. She picked up at our hotel and drove to the V & A Waterfront, where we spent the whole day. It was a beautiful day. She is knowledgeable and introduced us to the landmarks that make up the area’s history, including the Clock Tower, , the Clock Tower District, the Robinson Dry Dock, the Zeitz MOCAA Museum, the yellow frame, the sculptured animals, the Swing Bridge, the gateway to Robben Island, the Two Oceans Aquarium. She was not in a hurry, she let us take our time. We had wonderful photos, specially on that very day when Table Mountain was visible in the background. She advised us the restaurant where to eat, we had our lunch at the V & A Food Market , which is near the Nobel Square. She even came to shop with us at the Watershed, which specializes in South African arts and crafts. I firmly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a tour in Cape Town. If ever, I go back to Cape Town, I will certainly book my tours with her
“she gives her all!!!”
Elizabeth was absolutely amazing. she is socwarm and friendly. We booked her tour to Hermanas. It was the most enjoyable day! She picked us up promptly at our hotel we drove along the scenic coast. it was so beautiful. Elizabeth pointed out everything along the way-sites, birds, flowers, monuments…. she told history of the area. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about her country. We spend the day driving and stopping along the way to see a cool little things, did some whalewatching from the shore, did a little bit of shopping had lunch at a great little restaurant overlooking the water, saw the Penguins. We were in no hurry and Elizabeth was very flexible, didn’t rush us or hurry us, let us take our time, and we actually got back to our hotel like two hours late. And it didn’t cost anything more. We enjoyed her so much that we hired her for another day and had her take us around Cape Town, a tour where we pretty much custom picked what we wanted to do. There’s a great little sites in the city and she took us to a restaurant where we had some amazing authentic South African food. Elizabeth grew up in the area so she knows everything about everything. She even gave us advice about where to eat that was close to our restaurant, how much to pay for things, what things to buy that were worth it, prices that were not worth it etc. she even told us that we could text her at any time for any advice on anything that we were doing on our own . We can’t recommend her highly enough!!! she gives it her all! We more than got our moneys worth, and if we ever go back to South Africa again we will definitely take advantage of her services.
