Though SriLanka is a small island it has 3 main different climatic zones (Dry, intermediate & wet). As soon as you have to go past all these 3 climatic zones in this tour, you'd better have clothes and shoes which is suitable for both dry and cold climate. In Sigiriya, to reach the top of it you have to climb on flights of narrow steps & better to have suitable shoes for climbing.
When you visit religious sites, light coloured clothing with sleeves and trousers or skirts below the knee length are recommended. And also the footwear should be removed before entering, you could wear socks if you wish to. Your guide will let you know in advance before you visit those sites.
