You will be picked up at your hotel in Colombo by private vehicle, afterwards about 3H drive to Kandy.

Pinnawala elephant orphanage

This orphanage is a home for young elephants who have been displaced or lost from their natural habitat.The only such orphanage in the world visitors can watch the baby elephants gamboling in the water and being fed milk from gigantic feeding bottles.

Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya

The next visit is the Royal Botanical Garden at Peradiniya. The Botanical Gardens is 60 ha (147 acres) in extent, and located 460m above sea- level close to Kandy and surrounded from three sides by river Mahavali.The garden was founded in the year of 1821. Before that, it used to be the pleasure garden of the kings of Kandy in 1374.Some of the best and most valuable collections of plants and trees in the world(more than 4000 species, indoor and out door) are available here. Spice garden and Orchid House are the most popular with tourist. Most of the honorable guests who visited Sri Lanka, for instance The Queen Elizabeth, Marshal Tito, Chancellor Henry Kiesunger and Juri Gagarin have planted memorable trees in this garden.(Lunch is available at the restaurant here if necessary).

The Temple of Tooth Relic of Buddha

Temple of Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha which is commonly known as "Sri Dalanda Maligawa" is situated in the city of hills,Kandy.It is an important shrine for Buddhists as it holds the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha.It is famous for its carvings and the beautiful art that is unique to Sri Lanka.The most important part of Dalanda Maligawa is the octagon (Pathirippuwa).The Sri Dalanda Maligawa is the most sacred Temple In the whole of Sri Lanka.Thousands of people line up each day to get a glimpse of its majesty.
