Meeting Point
You are picked up from your residence in Kandy
- Pickup and drop off in and around hotels in Kandy
Sri Muthumari Amman Kovil
Drives straight away to Sri Muthumari Amman (kovil) hindu temple, which is the tallest and the most colorful Hindu temple of the country.
Dambulla cave temple
Then your second destination is Dambulla cave temple, which is the largest and the best-preserved cave temple in Sri Lanka. The caves were converted in to a temple complex by king Walagamba during the 1st century. There are about 153 buddha status and murals, which covers 2100 square meters. You have to spend around one and half hours to cover entire temple complex.
Village tour with Sri Lankan Buffet
Then your next destination is village tour to experience ancient village life with their day today activities including catamaran rides, Tuk Tuk Ride, walk towards paddy fields, cookery demonstration on traditional Sri Lankan foods and enjoy a traditional meal.
Sigiriya Rock
In the evening you will visit the eight wonder of the world, which contains huge walls, water canals, security guard rooms, natural stoned arches, mirror stone and world famous Sigiri paintings. It is an isolated rock, Kingdom more than 200m in height. You have to spend more than two and half hours.
Stay overnight in Sigiriya.
Polonnaruwa Historical Site
You are taken to Polonnaruwa, which was the capital of Sri Lanka for about 200 years and finally the kingdom was transferred to Dambadeniya and Polonnaruwa was concored by Indian king Kalinga Magha. You can visit archeological museum, royal palace, audience hall, swimming pool, sacred quadrangle, shiva devale, pabalu vehera, rankoth vihara, kiri vihara, buddha statue at lankatilaka, buddha figures at gal vihara etc. It takes normally 03 hours to visit entire kingdom in Polonnaruwa. After visiting Polonnaruwa you will enjoy lunch at Polonnaruwa
Minneriya, Kaudulla or Eco national park
2.30. P.M. – 6.00 P.M Visit Minneriya, Kaudulla or Eco national park to see wild elephants - Private Jeep Safari (Jungle safari 4X4)
Finally drive back to Kandy
