Meeting, Proceed to Polonnaruwa

You are picked up at 6.00 a,m. from the hotel in Kandy and drive straightway to Polonnaruwa, which was the capital of Sri Lanka for about 200 years and finally the kingdom was transferred to Dambadeniya and Polonnaruwa was concored by Indian king Kalinga Magha. You can visit archeological museum, royal palace, audience hall, swimming pool, sacred quadrangle, shiva devale, pabalu vehera, rankot vihara, kiri vihara, buddha statue at lankatilaka, buddha figures at gal vihara etc. It takes normally 03 to 04 hours to visit entire kingdom in Polonnaruwa.

Proceed to Sigiriya

After lunch drives to Lion Rock, Sigiriya bares the eight world wonder a man created stoned complete kingdom on the top of an isolated rock with amazing carvings, paintings as well as unbelievable archeologically planned entire mansion complexion built in 5th century.

we can visit Pidurangala Rock. It takes more than an hour to climb the rock through a thick wood path there is a 360 Celsius degrees scenic view point on the rock top. Hence it was a religious place the ruins of temple foundation and stone caves and pillars are still available in Pidurangala.

we will visit one of the national parks in the wild life reservoir of Minneriya, Kaudulla or Eco to see giants and wild elephants of the jungle.
