Hi, I’m Max, and I’m here to take you on an unforgettable adventure in the Algarve!
My journey has always been driven by adventure and a great passion for the sea and the skies. Many people know me from my acting career (I was an actor for 20 years on Brazilian television), but my true calling has always been exploring the world. At 22 years old, I became a private pilot, and since then, I’ve completed some major expeditions across Brazil in my airplane, logging over 5,000 flight hours. But my thirst for adventure didn’t stop there!
I travelled 21,000 kilometers across South America in a motorhome, living on the road for six months. And as a true ocean lover, I have crossed the Atlantic three times on sailing yachts! For the past seven years, I have been living aboard my sailboat, learning that the best way to live is with my feet in the water and my mind open to discoveries.
I’ve been living in Portugal for several years and I'm ready to be your guide in this spectacular region, sharing not only the best routes but also incredible stories and unique experiences. “Mad Max was Magnificent!!!”
There is not enough space here to write about how wonderful of an experience our private tour with Max was. He gave us an unforgettable experience, and by the end of our time together we felt like friends who had just spent the day together exploring the beauty of The Algarve. He took us to his favorite places and hidden gems that felt like untouched paradise. He introduced us to locals and friends. He captured moments of our group that would’ve otherwise been just memories. He was simply the best. If you have one day and you want to explore the beauty that is the Algarve, do it with Max. “Algarves Party Boat: good music, good drinks and good company”
We had an amazing experience with Algarve On Board, thanks to Max and Nateka! We booked a 6-hour private boat tour exploring 10 stunning caves, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and not all boats can go through the caves—so having the perfect-sized boat made the experience even more special. Since it’s a private tour, we also loved having full control of our time, which made everything feel relaxed and personalized. Max and Nateka were fantastic hosts—friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the area. Max owns both a large and a small boat, which gave us confidence that we were in safe hands, but what stood out even more is his genuine passion for sailing—you can really feel that he loves what he does. They made the whole trip fun and easygoing, sharing insights while also giving us time to simply enjoy the scenery. The stop for lunch was perfectly timed, and the food experience in Alvor is a must-try—definitely ask Max for recommendations! Overall, it was a memorable and well-organized experience. If you’re in the Algarve and looking for something special, I highly recommend booking with them. Definitely worth it!
