I have been a tour guide in Georgia since 2011 (also a guide-driver, pivate car - Honda CRV Touring 2017), member of SAGA ( Georgian Association of Guides), a Trainer of Guides and a member of WFTGA ( World Federation of Tourist Guides Association ). I am an Engineer by education (Electrical Communication, Bachelor's degree, Technical University of Georgia). I worked in my profession for only a few years, because I had to move to USA for different reasons, where I've lived for a total of 14 years (mostly in New York ). Living in America and working actively in various social strata has given me a lot of experience, one of which was tourism. Living abroad has further strengthened my interest and love for my homeland. So, when I returned to Georgia, I soon learned all the details of incoming tourism. I have taken courses at several schools in this field and I have excellent graduation certificates together with following skills: Group Management; Psychological bases; Deep Knowledge of Country History; Culture; Architecture; Culinary and Gastronomy; Wine; Traditions and etc.
In addition, I have a very interesting hobby - music, I sing, I play the piano and the guitar, I often combine it with the guide service at the right time, which gives more fun and joy to the guest.
I live in Tbilisi, I don't have my own family, but I have one great strong family - Georgia. My love and inexhaustible interest in this big family, the ancient history, diverse culture or traditions of my homeland is so big, that I always want to share it with passion and great enthusiasm to all the guests who come to Georgia, provide them individually based on their interests and make them to love it as well. In addition to the skills of a tour guide (which I have developed over the years), I am responsible, energetic and cheerful with a pretty good sense of humor, and I try to use that at my work.
At the end, the goal is achieved, when I hear the following words from my guests: "You have really made Georgia, it's sights and history come alive, to be meaningful to us, we have loved it and we will definitely come back !"
I can provide you with services both, as a guide and as a driver for up to 4 guests with my own car (Honda CRV Touring 2017) and as a guide for more than 4 guests accompanied by a different capacity vehicle and another driver. I have tours ( individual/groups; historical; cultural; adventure; culinary/gastro; wine; hiking; trekking etc.) from few hours up to 18-20 days at any location throughout Georgia, long distance tours require additional transportation and fuel costs. In addition to being interesting, my tours are very different from each other, pleasant, impressive, fun, considering your interest and taste, you have the opportunity to change it based on your wishes at any time, because for me the most important thing is your desire and comfort. I promise you will not get bored in my tour and you will remember it forever!
All tours can be customized for you. Send me a message with your requests!
“Our Dream Trip to Georgia”
In planning my family trips, I delve into the planning, not just as a function of the sites but also the people. Why miss the reality on the ground of life today in our country of exploration. Maia definitely produced on making this happen on our 4-day (Tbilisi, Wine Country, and Stepantsminda) tour. As I ask for her to back off of site visits and include time with her to discuss the struggles of the people and the tensions with the neighbors both now and in the past, Maia listened and produced. Some of our best memories on this trip were the times that we broke bread together and were able to have intimate conversation of Georgia life today, and the tenacity of a people that have been pushed and pulled through the millenniums from all directions. Through the excellent historical site choices and free flow of conversation with no subject off limits, we left with a true understanding of the energy and vitality of the Georgian people today. Maia was a pleasure with the true Geogia spirit.

Dear Frank, thank you so much for such a great reference and warm words. At first, I did not think that these conversations at the table would be so important and interesting for you. I would say that it was really a cultural tour and a great pleasure to spend time with your and Mike's family. Thanks again and my best regards to everyone.

“Maia made our Georgia trip a magical experience”
From the moment we met Maia we knew we had chosen the right guide. She made our trip exciting, entertaining, informative and was a joy to spend five days with. We laughed, learned, marveled and felt so at home with her in her beautiful and fascinating country. She chose perfect destinations, great accommodation and spectacular food. We came away with a whole new understanding of the Caucasus region and the desire to come back again soon. We can’t recommend Maia highly enough. She is ultimately professional with a wonderful sense of fun and the desire to ensure you have the best time.
