About Tour Guide Martina N.
I am an Italian licensed guide living in Paris since 2015. I have a PhD in Art History and I give tours in museums and monuments in Paris, walking tours in the city and guided tours in Versailles’ Château. I would like to expand my net of knowledges and meet new clients to share my tours and introduce my city. I believe that art is the best way to exchange with different cultures and to introduce national treasures to foreigners.

On tuesday the Louvre museum and the Pompidou are closed.
On Monday Versailles and the Orsay Museum are closed.
I would prefer to have Saturdays off but I am available if you have special requests.

Paris-The Louvre Museum and Its Masterpieces
Explore the most visited museum in the world, discover the masterpieces that made it so famous: artworks that attest the greatness of many civilizations (Egyptian, Greek and Roman ones) and the importance of European medieval and Renaissance art. Giotto, Botticelli, Raffaello, Michelangelo, Leonardo and, of course, Ingres, Géricault, Delacroix, David, amongst others from all over Europe. The best way to explore the huge castle that hosted kings, queens, artists and officials since Middle Ages.
Art & Modernity, the Centre Pompidou
Is contemporary art really difficult to understand? Is the Pompidou Centre a closed and elitist place? Of course not. The square in front of the museum will welcome us and, once inside, we will explore the permanent collections. We will see masterpieces of Avant-gardes and contemporary art. A time when art met the daily life, the common object, the reality and it revolutionized techniques and perception. You will do, in short, a fascinating journey into the history of the artistic object.
Impressionism and the Musée d'Orsay
Explore with me the Orsay museum to admire one of the most important Impressionist collections in the world. Paris is famous as the place where the Impressionism was born, an artistic movement that signed the beginning of a new Era, when the science and the progress made painting the best way to analyse the reality and the light, giving to us unforgettable artworks. A tour about Modernity, in a museum that is also the architectonic symbol of a new lifestyle and a new way of thinking and work.

“Another Excellent tour by Martina”
The tour of the Musee d'Orsay, followed the tour of the Pompidou the day before. Martina is very knowledgeable, an excellent communicator and enthusiastic, so much so that she extended the allotted time. I would recommend Martina as your guide.
