About Tour Guide Mark G.

I have lived in the City of Canterbury since 2001, having studied English Literature and History at The University of London. A professional actor for many years, I now teach Speech and Drama at two of Canterbury's most famous schools and in 2019 I successfully completed training as a Green Badge Guide for the city with the prestigious Institute of Tourist Guiding. As a genuinely local guide, I look forward to showing you the best the city has to offer.

My bespoke tours include walking tours, tours by public transport ( bus, tube, boat or train), or I can organize a car with a driver or a minibus. Within London we can cover the major sites--Westminster Abbey, Royal London, Buckingham Palace, Changing of the Guard, Churchill War Rooms, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London or explore less well-known districts like Bermondsey, Shoreditch or Spitalfields. Out of London Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Bath, Dover, Leeds Castle, Hever Castle are a few of the many wonderful places that can be easily reached in a day trip.
