About Tour Guide Mark G.

I have lived in the City of Canterbury since 2001, having studied English Literature and History at The University of London. A professional actor for many years, I now teach Speech and Drama at two of Canterbury's most famous schools and in 2019 I successfully completed training as a Green Badge Guide for the city with the prestigious Institute of Tourist Guiding. I was born in the North of England but spent much of my childhood living in India and the Middle East. I moved to London for a year to study on a postgraduate course and never left - working, bringing up my children and developing my career in guiding here.
