It was in this location in 1252 Stockholm was founded. It is the district with narrow cobbled streets, old houses and monuments.
Stockholm City Hall was built between 1911 and 1923 and was designed by the Swedish architect Ragnar Östberg. It is one of the most important buildings in Sweden built in the national romantic style and home to Nobel Prize annual Banquet.
we visit the beautiful Drottningholm palace. The Royal Domain of Drottningholm, which was the first site in Sweden to be listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
The castle was first built at the end of the seventeenth century and then Queen Ulrika Eleonora ordered the transformation of the interior into what has become the best example of an eighteenth-century royal residence in northern Europe that was inspired by the Palace of Versailles.
In addition to the palace, the site houses a perfectly preserved theater from 1766, a wonderful Chinese pavilion from 1770 and a large Baroque garden. Today the castle serves as the permanent residence of the current royal family.
