Ayutthaya is one of Thailand's most treasured historical sites. Once the capital of Thailand, known as the Kingdom of Ayutthaya, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya was a powerful and thriving city in Southeast Asia for 417 years. While Ayutthaya has many captivating attractions, the Ayutthaya Historical Park, located in the heart of the city, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a must-see. Ayutthaya is known not only for its temples and palaces but also for its diverse and delicious local food.
