Day 1 : Tunis/Kairouan/Mides/Chebika/Tozeur

From Tunis to the Sahara Gateway

Arrival at Tunis Airport and departure towards southern Tunisia.

Visit the holy city of Kairouan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue south to the breathtaking mountain oasis of Mides, known for its dramatic canyon landscapes. Explore the stunning Chebika Oasis with its natural springs and panoramic views.

Late afternoon transfer to Tozeur.

Dinner and overnight in a selected hotel in Tozeur.

Day 2 : Tozeur/Ong Jmel /Mos Espa from Star Wars/Chott Jrid/Douz

Star Wars & Desert Landscapes

Morning 4x4 excursion to Ong Jmel, the famous filming location of Mos Espa from Star Wars. Explore the preserved desert film set and surrounding dunes.

Continue to the spectacular Chott El Jerid, the largest salt lake in North Africa, known for its mirages and surreal scenery.

Drive to Douz, the “Gateway to the Sahara.”

Dinner and overnight in Douz.

Day 3 : Douz/Mattmata/Ksar Hdedda/Chnini/Tataouin

Sahara Adventure & Tatooine Villages

Early morning camel ride in the Sahara Desert to experience the magic of the dunes at sunrise.

Continue to Matmata, visit the troglodyte houses and the famous Sidi Idriss Hotel (Lars Homestead).

Proceed to Ksar Hadada, one of the iconic Star Wars filming locations.

Visit the authentic Berber village of Chenini (Tatooine atmosphere).

Dinner and overnight in Tataouine.

Day 4 : Tataouin/ Ksar Hallouf/El Jem/ Tunis

Ksour & Roman Heritage

Visit Ksar Hallouf, a remarkable Berber fortified granary.

Continue to the magnificent Roman Amphitheatre of El Jem, one of the best-preserved Roman arenas in the world.

Return to your pickup address (Tunis / hotel / airport).

Tour Important Information

This is a 4 days / 3 nights tour covering long distances across southern Tunisia.

The tour includes off-road 4x4 desert driving in Ong Jmel and a camel ride experience in Douz.

Moderate walking is required on uneven surfaces, sand dunes, mountain paths, and historic sites. Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.

Camel riding is optional and not recommended for guests with severe back, knee, or mobility problems.

Desert temperatures can vary significantly between day and night; please bring light clothing for the day and a jacket for cooler evenings.

Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat are highly recommended due to strong sun exposure.

This tour is not wheelchair accessible due to desert terrain and troglodyte structures.

Please inform us in advance of any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions.

Passport or ID may be required when traveling in southern border regions.

Travel times between destinations can be long, but the scenic landscapes make the journey part of the experience.
