Guest Hobart Accommodation
- Please provide guest Hobart Accommodation, ready for pickup. I usually pickup 5 mins before scheduled tour start time, out the front of the guest Accommodation.
Arrive at Mt Field National Park.
With the opportunity to organize your walking gear and visit the toilets', we then select a comfortable walking trail and head off for a 20 mins walk or a 2.5hr walk. Hearing the history, stories from our past and identifying the local native species. With some spectacular opportunities to stop and take photos, amongst the waterfalls.
Lunch spot
We then make our way to the other side of the Derwent Valley, into the Coal River Valley. Selecting a lite or sit down lunch along the way, at guests cost. Everything from a salad sandwich to dine in options at the local Hotel.
Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary.
With a set the scene moment on route to the Sanctuary, we arrive at Bonorong to spend time amongst the Tasmanian Native Species. Such as the Wombats, Tassie Devils, Echidnas and many bird species. Not to mention feeding the Forester Kangaroos. Hear stories and interpretations on each species and realize the depth of work these passionate locals are putting into this sanctuary.
Richmond and our wine region
Weather its shopping, or visiting the old convict goal, we have time to stroll the small township of Richmond and share stories, have an ice cream. We can also cross one of the oldest bridges in Australia and hear the drama that surrounds this iconic architectural Bridge.
