Pantano do Sul Beach

Pântano do Sul is where our journey begins and ends. Situated in an authentic, traditional fishing neighborhood, it’s home to some of Florianópolis’s finest seafood restaurants. We’ll kick things off here with introductions, go over the plan, and do a quick stretch to warm up for the trail ahead. When we return, it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy an incredible local meal!

Trail to Morro da Coroa (Crown Hill)

Spanning 4 km in total, this hike is a deep dive into the rich Atlantic Forest. As your guide, I'll walk you through this incredible ecosystem—pointing out native açai trees and wild medicinal or edible plants. Keep an eye out for wildlife, too! We often spot gralha azul (azure jays), soaring carcarás, curious black-tufted marmosets, and even capybaras along the way. It’s a true wilderness immersion from forest to peak.

Morro da Coroa (Crown Hill)

We’ll ascend to Morro da Coroa, where you'll experience one of the most breathtaking panoramic viewpoints in southern Brazil! We’ll pause at the iconic cliffside rock formations to snap incredible, postcard-worthy photos perched above the ocean. It’s also the perfect spot to take a well-deserved breather, unpack a picnic, and soak in the raw beauty of the coast before we descend to the beach.

Lagoinha do Leste Beach

After taking in the views from Morro da Coroa, we’ll descend to Lagoinha do Leste, Florianópolis’s most remote and pristine paradise. Here, you can unwind on golden sands, explore the surrounding dunes, or take a swim in the peaceful lagoon—whose warm, calm waters make it an absolute favorite for a refreshing dip, often much nicer than the ocean! This is also where we catch our ride back to Pântano do Sul via a scenic coastal boat trip operated by the local fishermen’s association (subject to weather and sea conditions)

Lagoinha do Leste Trail to Pântano do Sul

We’ll head back to Pântano do Sul along the coastal 2 km Trail of Lagoinha do Leste, taking in final forest views along the way. We’ll finish our tour right at the beach at the famous Bar do Arante—the perfect spot to relax and enjoy traditional seafood surrounded by thousands of handwritten paper notes!
