Phnom Kulen Wonders: A Journey Through Nature and History
Phnom Kulen is considered to be one of the most sacred places in all of Cambodia. Our tour will start in the morning around 8:00 am and we’ll take you to go and explore the biggest natural park in Siem Reap. Phnom Kulen has some of the most photogenic sites in the region with waterfalls, temples, rivers and the largest reclining Buddha statue in all of Cambodia at Wat Preah Ang Thom. We’ll stop for a champagne picnic near the stunning waterfall.

Pick up at your hotel
We'll pick you up from your hotel and drive to visit Phnom Kulen national park.
Dom Dek market
After half hour drive there, we'll take a first stop at a local market called Dom Dek to eye witness the daily life of local people are buying and selling their products such as; home ground vegetable, fishes farm, meats, clothes and more. We'll spend there around half hour.
Phnom Kulen national park
We then continue driving another one hour to visit Phnom Kulen (Kulen Mountain) which is considered to be one of the most holy places in Cambodia and the birthplace of the ancient Khmer empire. It is also of religious significance to both Hindus and Buddhists and many people make annual pilgrimages to the area.
For most guests, it’s the stunning tropical views, the mountain lines, water falls, we’ll also go to see the largest reclining Buddha statue in all of Cambodia and more which attracts them to the area. We’ll arrive there in the middle of the morning, explore a little and stop for a champagne lunch before exploring more of the area in the afternoon. We'll spend there around two hours.
Lunch break at a local restaurant (on your own account)
It's time to have lunch break with Champagne for about one hour before we continue exploring other tourists attracted places are located nearby.
The waterfall
After lunch break we’ll see the waterfall where the water is said to be holy. Tourists are welcomed to do swimming there if you wish. The water is so cool there. Most tourists both local and foreigners never missed to take a bath. We'll feel like fresh after having a bath there. We'll spend there around one hour before moving on to the final place.
Ancient Linga carvings in the river bed
Finally, we'll visit a river where you can see 1000 ancient Lingas statue carvings in the river bed before heading back towards Siem Reap city late in the afternoon. Here local people usually called as Kbal Steung " head of the river" where it's water is flowing down to the lake via Siem Reap river. Local people believe that this water is holy and used to drink it when someone got sick and most believe persons has healed. We'll spend there around another one hour.

This tour is designed to meet the tourists who is nature lover and wish to relax with the nature. You should also spray mosquitoes repellent on your foots to avoid insects biting such as mosquitoes, ants and so on. Easily walking shoes as you will walk up and down a lot. We also recommend that you take an umbrella or raincoat during the rainy season – May to October.
