Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

After about a 40-minute drive, we will arrive at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. During their breakfast time—the most active part of their day—you’ll see the pandas eating bamboo, playing, and interacting with each other. With their adorable and charming behavior, these beloved animals are truly China’s world-famous ambassadors of friendship.

Leshan Giant Buddha

The Leshan Giant Buddha is the largest stone Buddha statue in the world, standing 71 meters (233 feet) tall and carved directly into a red sandstone cliff. Built during the Tang Dynasty over 1,200 years ago, it overlooks the meeting point of three rivers, symbolizing protection and harmony for passing boats. The Buddha’s calm expression, detailed craftsmanship, and ingenious ancient drainage system reflect remarkable engineering and deep Buddhist devotion. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of China’s most impressive cultural and spiritual landmarks.
