Meeting Point

Hotel Lobby Pickup

- I pick you up in the Tesla and we drive south to the High-Tech Zone before rush hour kicks in. About 45 minutes on the road. Good time to go over the plan and ask me anything.

Local Wet Market

It's a regular wet market where local people actually shop every day. We grab what we need for dinner — vegetables, Pixian broad bean paste, some pork. I handle the bargaining and translation. About 45 minutes here.

My Home Kitchen · Hui-Guo-Rou

Back at my kitchen we spend about 3 hours making Hui-Guo-Rou. I walk you through each step, you do the actual wok work. We drink Zhu Ye Qing tea in Jingdezhen porcelain while cooking. Dinner is in my dining room. I usually pair it with cold Tsingtao beer, or plum wine if you can't handle spice. You take home a printed recipe card so you can make it again back home.

Cyberpunk Chengdu · Neon Skyline Drive

After dinner we head out to see the neon side. SKP Chengdu has these underground light towers that look sci-fi. Nine Leaf Lotus Bridge gives you the wide shot of the Twin Towers on water. Jiaozi Ring is where you get a 360 view of the whole lit-up skyline. I film clips at each spot. We finish around 9:30.

Ending Point

Tesla drop-off at your hotel. If you're curious I can tell you a bit on the way about how Chengdu became China's western tech hub in the last 15 years.

As a "Bespoke Mobility" tour, we monitor Chengdu's weather in real-time. If rain is expected, we will proactively adjust the sequence between our indoor culinary session and outdoor night-walk to ensure your comfort and photography quality.
