Ancient Kiln Factory

The Ancient Kiln Factory is the only national 5A scenic spot in China themed entirely on ceramic culture. Here we can see well-preserved ancient kilns from different dynasties, including the famous gourd-shaped kilns and official kiln sites. Professional craftsmen demonstrate traditional hand-made porcelain techniques, just like ancient workers did hundreds of years ago. This place perfectly shows the original firing process and ancient porcelain-making culture of Jingdezhen, known as a living fossil of Chinese ceramic history.

China Ceramics Museum

The China Ceramics Museum, the largest and most professional ceramic museum in Jingdezhen. It collects over 50,000 precious porcelain relics from the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. The exhibition fully records the complete development history of Chinese porcelain. Here we can appreciate different styles of ancient porcelains, from elegant celadon to classic blue-and-white porcelain. It clearly shows why Jingdezhen has been honored as the world-famous Porcelain Capital for over a thousand years.

Sanbao International Ceramic Art Village

After a quick lunch, we will visit Sanbao International Ceramic Art Village, a world-famous international ceramic exchange base. Different from traditional scenic spots, it combines natural mountain scenery with modern ceramic art. Since 1998, it has received tens of thousands of artists from over 100 countries for creation and communication. It focuses on international art exchange, handmade ceramic creation and artistic residence. It represents Jingdezhen’s open, modern and international artistic charm.

Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative Block

Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative Block is transformed from old abandoned porcelain factories. It perfectly combines industrial heritage with modern creativity. The old factory buildings, chimneys and kiln sites are well kept, while new art galleries, designer studios, creative shops and weekend art markets are newly opened. It is the most fashionable and youthful landmark of modern Jingdezhen. Here traditional porcelain culture gains new vitality. It shows that Jingdezhen’s ceramic art is not only historic, but also trendy and international.
