10:40 AM

Uprising Gate

Uprising Gate marks one of the most significant turning points in modern Chinese history. In October 1911, revolutionary soldiers in Wuchang rose against the Qing government, setting off a chain of events that ended over two thousand years of imperial rule. Today, the gate stands as a powerful reminder of where China’s transformation toward a modern republic began.

Inside the Uprising Gate area, we’ll explore the historic gate structure, remnants of the old city walls, and memorial sites related to the Wuchang Uprising. These spaces help us better understand how the revolution unfolded and why this area became such an important turning point in modern Chinese history.

12:30 PM

As a key memorial site of the 1911 Revolution, this museum tells the story of the Wuchang Uprising and China’s transition from imperial rule to a modern republic.

We will visit the Xinhai Revolution Museum with guided commentary.

01:30 PM

Baotong Temple

Originally built during the Southern Dynasties, Baotong Temple has stood for over 1,500 years. Baotong Temple offers a glimpse into Wuhan’s spiritual and cultural past. After exploring the revolutionary landmarks of Wuchang, this peaceful temple provides a powerful contrast between political change and enduring tradition.

We can receive three incense sticks free of charge and take our time exploring the temple.

02:30 PM

Hubei Provincial Museum (Chu civilization artifacts)

After a short taxi ride with wuchang city scene to the Hubei Provincial Museum, you will step into the core world of ancient Chu culture from over 2,000 years ago—one of the most distinctive and imaginative civilizations in early Chinese history. Chu culture is known for its expressive artistic style, complex bronze ritual systems, and highly developed musical traditions. The museum’s collection of bronze bells, ritual bronzes, and lacquerware reveals a spiritual world where mythology, nature, and belief are deeply intertwined, allowing you to experience the essence of Chu culture in a single visit.

03:30 PM

Departure from the museum, drop-off at the hotel entrance

After about an hour of temple exploration, a private car will take you back to your hotel.
