Visit to one of the most impressive Neo-gothic churches in Latin America. Optional view from one of the towers, so you can have a wonderful view of the contrast between Old Colonial section and the Modern Cosmopolitan district.
Historical Colonial Quito. Independence Plaza. (Main square).
Walk for about one hour and a half, through the Colonial district, where you can admire the architecture, flower ornated Spanish balconies and narrow streets, in order to admire and visit the Main Square (Independence Plaza), Archbishop Palace, and visit to El Sagrario Church.
San Francisco Church.
Keep on a short walk in order to visit to one of the most beautiful churches in Latin America, with paintings, sculptures and gold-filled decoration.
Afterwards, you can sample Ecuadorian chocolate bits with amazing flavors such as salt, rose or pepper!
Drive to Equator (Middle of the World).
45 minute drive to the Equator, the historical/geographical reason for our country's name. You will be able to step on both hemispheres at a time!
Inti Ñan equatorial museum.
Interesting and educational visit to this "in-situ" museum, where you can learn and experience the Coriolis effect and some more astonishing experiments. Did you know you weigh less on the equator?
Back to Quito.
